How Teletrax® works

Teletrax® video watermarking stores information in a broadcast picture. It does this by subtly manipulating the noise that naturally occurs in moving images. This means that Teletrax embedding is imperceptible and does not impair picture quality. The process is simple. A digital embedder can be placed anywhere in the video chain, either during a live satellite transmission or at the end of the post production process.

The embedder adds identifying data to the video signal, typically this is a time and date stamp. Teletrax video watermarking is permanent and imperceptible and it does not change the format of the video signal.

Once embedded, any broadcast of your video footage can be traced instantly through Teletrax monitoring stations around the world. Teletrax can provide full details of the station and location where your video was aired as well as the section of your footage used and the duration of broadcast.

Nothing beats Teletrax. The embedding can still be detected after manipulation or standards conversion and it cannot be destroyed without completely destroying the footage. This means that Teletrax is the most reliable way to ensure you know when and how your footage is being used by broadcasters.
